Check AI spend on the Dashboard

The Dashboard shows your organisation's AI spend at a glance. Use it to answer "what are we spending on AI, and is it going up?"

You need AI spend switched on for your organisation — ask your Flowstate contact.

Read the Dashboard

  1. Go to Insights → Agent insights → Dashboard.
  2. Choose the period at the top. It starts at the last 30 days.
  3. Read the figures along the top: AI spend, with its change on the previous period, then Merged PRs, Requests, Active users and Saved.
  4. Read the charts:
ChartWhat it shows
Team spendAI spend by team across the period
Provider spendWhat each provider billed across the period
Spend by taskWhat kind of work the spend paid for. Needs AI spend attribution.
Forecast vs actualMonthly spend so far, and where it's heading over the next three months
AI spend trendSpend over time. Unusual spikes are shaded red, and unusual days are listed under the chart.
Spend accounted forHow much of each month's bill is tied to logged AI sessions

Tip

Spend accounted for close to zero is normal without AI spend attribution: a bill says how much, not what it was for.

Look at one team, project or initiative

  1. Open the filters at the top of the Dashboard.
  2. Choose a Team. With AI spend attribution, you can also choose a Project or an Initiative.
  3. The charts now show that team's, project's or initiative's figures.

Tip

  • The figures along the top always cover the whole organisation. A note under them reminds you when the charts are filtered.
  • Forecast vs actual always shows the whole organisation.
  • The filters only list teams, projects and initiatives that had AI spend in the period.

Save a filtered Dashboard as a view

Save the filters you use most, such as your own team, so you can come back to them in one click.

  1. Filter the Dashboard. See Look at one team, project or initiative.
  2. At the top left, select Default view.
  3. Select Save current view.
  4. Enter a View name.
  5. To let everyone in your organisation use the view, tick Share with organisation.
  6. Select Save.

To open a saved view, select Default view and choose it under Saved views. Views shared with the organisation show (shared). To clear the filters again, choose Default view.

Tip

  • A saved view keeps your filters, not the period. Choose the period each time.
  • To rename or delete a view you saved, point at it in the list and select the pencil or the bin.

If something's not right

There's no Share with organisation option — Sharing views needs extra access. Save it for yourself, or ask your Flowstate admin.

A saved view shows a different period from when you saved it — Views don't keep the period. Choose it again at the top.

A saved view shows no data — The team, project or initiative had no AI spend in the period you chose. Try a longer period.
