See who uses AI
Adoption shows how many of your people use AI, how deeply they use it, and who has a paid seat they never open. Use it before renewing seats, or when rolling a tool out to more teams.
You need AI spend switched on for your organisation — ask your Flowstate contact.
Check adoption
- Go to Insights → Agent insights → Adoption.
- Read the opening line: how many people used AI in the last 30 days, and whether weekly users went up or down.
- Under How deeply it is used, see how people split across the five levels below.
- Under Licensed but idle, see how many seats had no session in the last 30 days and what they cost a month.
- Under Adoption by function, see how each function's adoption has changed over the last six months.
Someone is active if they ran at least one AI session in the last 30 days. Having a seat doesn't count.
| Level | Sessions per working day |
|---|---|
| Power | 12 or more |
| High | 5 to 12 |
| Regular | 1.5 to 5 |
| Light | Under 1.5, or active on fewer than 7 days |
| Inactive | No session in the last 30 days |
Find the teams that are behind
- In the table, choose how to group the rows: Function, Team, Geography, Employment type, Rollout status or Main tool.
- To see only the teams that are behind, filter Rollout status to Cold or Partial.
- Sort by Adoption, People, Active people, AI spend or Team name.
- Select a row to see the people in it. People with a seat they've never opened come first.
- To see a team's sessions, select the View sessions icon at the end of its row.
| Rollout status | Share of the team using AI |
|---|---|
| Active | 70% or more |
| Partial | 30% or more |
| Cold | Under 30% |
Tip
- Function, Team, Rollout status and Main tool count employees only. Geography and Employment type include contractors, so their totals are different.
- Someone on two teams is counted in both teams' People.
- Review idle seats, under Licensed but idle, takes you straight to the table.
- View sessions needs AI spend attribution.
To see people's names, you need access to individual AI fluency scores — ask your Flowstate admin.
Open someone's AI record
A person's AI record shows what they use AI for and how their habits are developing. Use it to find who could help a team get started, or where a little coaching would help.
You need access to individual AI fluency scores — ask your Flowstate admin. Without it, names show as Name withheld and can't be opened.
- Go to Insights → Agent insights → Adoption.
- In the table, select a row to expand it.
- Select a person's name. Their record opens on Overview.
- Select Sessions or Fluency to see more.
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Their 30-day spend, Tokens and Requests, the Account and Tools they use, and their Top sessions |
| Sessions | All their sessions in the last 30 days. Select one to open it. |
| Fluency | An Overall score out of 100, a score for each habit, and a sentence naming their strongest and weakest habit |
Tip
The weakest habit on Fluency is the clearest place to start a coaching conversation. A score describes habits, not performance.
If something's not right
Names show as Name withheld — You need access to individual AI fluency scores. Ask your Flowstate admin.
"No AI activity for this person" — The record covers the last 30 days, and they didn't use AI in that time.
"Not enough conversations yet to compute a fluency score." — Fluency needs more conversations before it can score someone. Check again later.
"You don't have permission to view this person's individual fluency score." — Ask your Flowstate admin for access to individual AI fluency scores.
