Pull Windsurf activity and credit consumption into Flowstate so it sits alongside Cursor, Copilot and the rest — per person, not just as a line on a card statement.

Two honest limits worth knowing up front

Credits are current-cycle only. Windsurf's analytics endpoint reports prompt credits for the billing cycle you are in, and that figure ignores any date range you ask for. Earlier months cannot be filled in later — so connect Windsurf before the cycle you care about, not after.

The money is our arithmetic, not Windsurf's invoice. Windsurf reports credits, and Flowstate values them at list price to give you a comparable number. It is shown as an estimate, and it will not tie exactly to your invoice if you are on negotiated pricing.

What you'll see in Flowstate

• Usage by person — who is actually using Windsurf, keyed by email, including people not yet imported as employees (they auto-link when you import your team).
• Seat utilisation — who is active versus idle, so dormant seats can be reclaimed.
• Per-project attribution — with the Flowstate Agent, Windsurf usage is attributed to projects and people. See Attribution.

Getting started

You need a service key with Teams Read-only permission, and individual-level analytics switched on for the team.

1. In Windsurf settings, open Service Key Configuration and add a service key
2. Give the key Teams Read-only permission
3. Turn on individual-level analytics at windsurf.com/team/manage — without it, Windsurf returns the team roster with no per-person rows
4. In Flowstate, open Settings → Integrations → Windsurf, paste the key and click Verify and connect — Flowstate makes one read-only call to check it works before saving anything

How syncing works

Usage syncs hourly. Activity honours the date window Flowstate requests; credits, as above, do not.

If the key loses its Teams Read-only permission, the connection shows the real error from Windsurf on its provider page.
