Getting started

1. Go to Settings → Data Integrations → ADP
2. Click Connect with ADP to start the OAuth authorisation
3. Sign in to your ADP account and grant Flowstate access
4. Select which data to sync (employees, org structure, salary)
5. Choose sync frequency (daily recommended)
6. Click Confirm

Initial sync typically completes within a few minutes for organisations under 1,000 employees.

What happens during sync

• New employees in ADP are created in Flowstate with their team, role, and salary
• Updated records (title changes, team moves, salary adjustments) are reflected automatically
• Terminated employees have their end date set in Flowstate — they remain in historical reports but are marked as inactive
• Conflicts — if someone manually changes a record in Flowstate that ADP later updates, the ADP data takes precedence (ADP is the source of truth for HR data)

Troubleshooting

Employees aren't syncing

• Check that the ADP connection is still authorised (tokens can expire)
• Verify the employee exists in the ADP company you connected

Salary data looks wrong

• Flowstate stores annual salary equivalent — check that the pay frequency conversion is correct
• Currency is pulled from the employee's ADP record
